Seiko 7A28 James Bond watch, chronograph operating instructionsContinuing with our discussion of the last analogue chronograph worn by James Bond on-screen, I’m pleased to announce that we’re now hosting a complete (English) *.pdf scan of the Seiko 7A28 instruction booklet.

In A View to a Kill (Eon Productions, 1985), Roger Moore wore a Seiko model SPR007, caliber 7A28-7020 quartz analogue chronograph as one of three James Bond watches featured in closing out the product-placement deal with Seiko UK.

JamesBondWatches.com was again first with its definitive identification of this wristwatch, thanks to unprecedented access granted to us through Mark Mills, a member of the Seiko UK staff that actually worked with movie producers on A View to a Kill when as it was being made. A copy of original documentation provided to me by Mr Mills is currently on display, along with a screen-correct Seiko SPR007, 7A28-7020, as part of the “Bond Watches, James Bond Watches” exhibit, currently open to the public at the National Watch & Clock Museum in Columbia, Pennsylvania.

The attached operating instructions, then, are part of our increasing leadership as your source for not just bullet-proof lists of James Bond watches, but an ever-expanding complement of resources in support of owners, collectors, and serious students of horology.

A copy of the English-language Seiko caliber 7A28 instruction booklet is here, as *.pdf files, in two parts:

  1. Seiko caliber 7A28 instructions, cover, through page 6
  2. Seiko caliber 7A28 instructions, pages 7 through 15
